About

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Abigail. I believe that living healthy is a lifelong pursuit and that language has the power to transform lives. These beliefs plus my experience are why I am a health writer.

I hold a B.A. in health communications from Grand Valley State University and I am a certified personal fitness trainer (CPFT-NEST) through the American Council on Exercise. For 10 years I’ve curated content for health companies and used digital media to reach people. I focus on publishing high-quality content for online magazines with an emphasis on educating parents on new studies in health, wellness and relationships; basically simplifying the science.

Becoming a parent has driven me to research and write more on women’s prenatal and postpartum health and to help fill the education gap for expectant moms and parents.

You can find me outside (if possible) every day, moving my body. I love mixing up my workouts and fueling my body with whole foods so I can stay active with hobbies like hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. My husband and my kids are my greatest joys. You’ll find us spending time together as a family eating Thai food, dreaming of building a mountain cabin, or dancing to Caravan Palace.

Thank you for being here! I hope you learn something new and have a “What, really? Me too!” moment.

(P.S. I’m not well-versed in fashion. Please don’t follow me for style tips. I’m as much a fashionista as Steve Jobs was.)
